America is losing the AI Arms Race, but FLUIX has a shot at Winning it

Jun 9, 2025

We don’t need to double energy to double compute.

That’s the principle we operate on at FLUIX. And as we step into the era of AI industrialization, this idea isn’t just a feature, it’s the foundation for global competitiveness.

The Problem No One Wants to Talk About

AI needs energy, infrastructure, and compute.

All of which consumes massive amounts of power, which pushes the grid to its limits. And here’s the real crisis:

1 in 5 U.S. data centers can’t get built because the grid can’t handle the load.

Energy distribution is capped. Infrastructure expansion is stalled. Meanwhile, nations like China are vertically integrated — owning their tech stack, utilities, and expansion strategy.

At TechCrunch Sessions: AI, I heard a lot about model scaling, synthetic data, and AGI timelines. But almost no one mentioned infrastructure. No one mentioned power. It felt like the room was focused on the race car, and ignoring the fuel.

That’s why we built FLUIX.

The AI That Runs Infrastructure

I’m Abhishek Sriram, Chief of Staff at FLUIX. We’re building the AI Operating System for modern data centers with what we call A.I.M.I.: Artificial Intelligence for Managing Infrastructure.

Today, AIMI autonomously controls HVAC, IT load balancing, water systems, and cooling infrastructure. In real time. On-Prem. Secure. Efficient.

We’ve proven we can reduce energy costs by up to 40%, and we’re just getting started.

AI Compute Is Volatile & That’s Our Advantage!

What we’ve learned from deploying in live facilities across the U.S. and LATAM is this: AI compute is volatile. It changes millisecond by millisecond. You can’t plan infrastructure the old way when your demand curve looks like a rollercoaster.

And this volatility? It’s the unlock.

Because predicting volatility = unlocking new grid capacity.

That’s exactly what we’re doing, with one of the largest utilities in the United States. We’re not just optimizing data centers anymore, we’re helping utilities predict future load growth using anonymized optimization data.

Why the Legacy Players Can’t Keep Up

Honeywell. Siemens. Schneider.

They’re good at hardware, not predictive software. Their models don’t understand the uniqueness of each data center. But we do.

  • Every data center is a thumbprint. No two are the same.

  • FLUIX trains AI that learns each one from the inside out.

That’s how we win.

Data Is the New Megawatt

Google, Meta, Microsoft hoard their infrastructure data. They’ll never share it.

But here’s the thing: those three own fewer than 300 of the ~5,000 data centers in the U.S.

Who’s optimizing the other 4,700?

That’s where we come in.

We deploy AIMI into these data centers. AIMI collects data. We anonymize it. Then we sell that insight to utilities, so they can predict where to send power and when.

It’s the missing data that finally closes the loop between compute demand and grid supply.

Power Anxiety Is the New Range Anxiety

EV's suffer from range anxiety. Data centers suffer from power anxiety. They’re afraid they won’t get the juice they need when a Hyper-scaler moves in next door.

That’s the incentive:

  • Data centers share data

  • Utilities understand distribution

  • Data centers lock in lower rates and guaranteed uptime

We’re the broker between data and power.

Where This Is Going

Right now, we’re in five data centers across the U.S. and Latin America. We’ve trained foundational models using public data, and then refined them in real facilities, starting with Solideon Berkeley and scaling from there.

Now, with every new install, we’re mapping out the AI grid.

Because the future of AI isn’t just digital, it’s physical.

The physical infrastructure: power, cooling, network, and space needs an OS.

That’s FLUIX.

If you believe that AI can’t scale without physical optimization…

If you believe that data, not guesswork, should power the grid…

We want you with us!

Build AI that runs infrastructure.

Bring compute to the edge of physics.

Help America win the AI arms race.
